BadLand Games and SWDTech Games announced Pixel Noir will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Steam in Q1 2018.

Inspired by classic JRPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, Pixel Noir is a 16-bit noir-themed RPG that will allow players to become a cop-turned-private-detective who spent 10 years in prison for a crime they didn’t commit. The game will challenge players to solve a variety of cases, from missing pets to murders, as they work to clear their name.

In Pixel Noir, players will explore the world of Pinnacle City, and take on enemies in turn-based battles. Users will be able to recruit additional heroes for their teams as they progress, and these heroes will have the ability to perform combo attacks during battle. Players will also be able to customize their weapon over time.

Elsewhere, gamers will be able to use a special investigation mode to reveal clues that will help them solve cases and uncover new storylines.

With the help of Novy Unlimited, Pixel Noir has received preview coverage on a variety of websites, including TrueAchievements and Cliqist, among others.

Pixel Noir is expected to launch digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Steam (PC, Mac, and Linux) in Q1 2018. The game’s physical release details and price will be revealed at a later date.

Interested players are encouraged to try Pixel Noir’s pre-alpha demo and fill out a feedback survey to receive two exclusive rewards.
