BadLand Games has partnered with Spanish developer Tequila Works to bring The Sexy Brutale to PlayStation 4 as a physical release called The Sexy Brutale: Full House Edition. The murder-mystery adventure game was co-developed by Tequila Works and UK-based Cavalier Game Studios.
In The Sexy Brutale, players will travel to the game’s titular casino mansion, where a series of murders has taken place during the annual masked ball. Players will become an elderly priest named Lafcadio Boone, and they will be challenged to solve and prevent each murder by exploring the hotel, and hiding and spying on guests and staff.
The Sexy Brutale will feature a Groundhog Day-inspired timeline, which will allow players to explore the mansion from different perspectives and locations in a single day. The mansion will feature multiple areas to explore, and each will contain its own scenario, characters, and puzzles. As players save guests, they’ll receive special powers that will help them going forward.
The Sexy Brutale: Full House Edition will launch on April 11 for PlayStation 4, and will contain the following items:
- The Sexy Brutale game
- Official soundtrack CD
- Exclusive full-color studio manual highlighting the game’s inspirations
Interested players can pre-order the game to receive either a unique comic book by Enrique Fernandez, or an exclusive game artbook. Pre-order items will be retailer-dependent, with additional details coming soon.
